The victim was airlifted to Boston Medical Center after being struck by a 1999 Jeep Wrangler driven by Serena Scannell, 26, of Dennisport. Scannell was not injured in the crash.
A preliminary investigation by police indicated that the injured woman was walking against traffic at the edge of the westbound lane of Upper County Road when Scannell struck her.
The victim's name was not immediately released to the public.
