Edward Treseler, 54, a Sergeant with the Massachusetts State Police suffered a wrist injury following a crash involving three cars on Route 30 near the Mass Pike entrance in Framingham that took place shortly after 1:00am this morning, The Boston Globe reports. According to preliminary reports, two vehicles were drag racing at the time of the accident and were driving next to each other at a high rate of speed. One of the drivers, Alejandro Ramos, 27, of Framingham then collided with the Trooper’s vehicle in the oncoming lane of travel. Ramos is in critical condition in a Boston area hospital.
The driver of the second vehicle was identified as Falcaneri Fuentes, 31, also of Framingham. He did not suffer any injuries in the crash and the passenger in Fuentes’ car, Yenci Pineda, 19, also was uninjured. Both Fuentes and Ramos will be summonsed to court for operating to endanger and without a license, as well as for speeding and marked lanes violations. No charges have been filed against Fuentes and Ramos at this time.
