Stolen Car Crashes into Lynn Home

The Daily Item reported today that an unidentified driver crashed a stolen car last night into the Lynnfield Street home of Eleanor Torto of Lynn. Torto reportedly heard a crash and only realized after smelling gasoline that the vehicle had actually crashed into the living room downstairs.

The impact threw a desk to the other side of the room, broke a mirror, and cracked the room’s ceiling. Torto and her husband Philip did not suffer any injuries from the crash. According to Torto, this is the second incident of a car crashing into their home, which is located near the busy Goodwin Traffic Circle.

The driver fled the scene after the impact and remains unidentified. Authorities have stated that the vehicle’s owner had reported that the car was stolen. Police are continuing to investigate who the driver of the vehicle was at the time of collision.
