Route 7 Head-On Crash Claims Life, Injures Three in Williamstown

The Lowell Sun has reported that a woman suffered fatal injuries Thursday morning in a head-on collision with another vehicle on Route 7 in Williamstown. Three other individuals involved in the accident were rushed to an area hospital with serious injuries.

While the cause of the accident is continuing to be investigated, authorities have reported that a Buick Lucerne and Hyundai Elantra impacted in the area of New Ashford Road and that road conditions may have been a factor in the fatal crash, as it had snowed.

The female passenger of the Elantra was rushed to a local hospital following the accident, but later succumbed to her injuries.

Two of the occupants had to be rescued from one of the vehicles with the Jaws of Life.
