Dover Man in Serious Car Accident

Alexander Paganelli, 21, of Dover, was found in his wrecked Subaru last Thursday morning by his sister near their home on Miller Hill Road. Paganelli’s sister had just left home around 7:00am when she recognized her brother’s car, crashed against a tree.  Police have reported that it is not known when the collision occurred and how long Paganelli had been there.

Paganelli’s father, Paul, is the chief of emergency medicine at Milton Hospital and ran to the scene of the crash to assist his son.  Emergency personnel worked for over a half-hour to remove doors of the car to rescue Paganelli from the wreck.

Paganelli underwent brain surgery last Friday at a Boston hospital for internal injuries he sustained from the collision. 

Police stated that drugs or alcohol have not been named as contributing factors in the serious crash.

In Massachusetts in 2008, there were nearly 4,000 accidents that resulted in both drivers and occupants suffering serious injuries. Overall, there were more than 136,000 reported accidents across the Commonwealth during that same year.
