2 Dead in Westport Wrong Way Collision on Route 88

Susan Stallman, 51, of Fall River, was driving in the opposite lane of travel on Route 88 in Westport around 7:30pm Thursday evening when she collided head-on with a truck driven by Janet McNulty, 49, of Westport.  Both women died as a result of their injuries from the collision. 

Officials stated that Stallman knew the area where the fatal crash occurred and it is unclear at this time why Stallman was driving north in the southbound lane of Route 88

Stallman’s granddaughter, 3, was a passenger in the SUV Stallman had been driving and the little girl reportedly sustained severe leg and pelvic injuries from the impact.

Authorities are continuing to investigate what led up to this tragic accident.
