Framingham Woman Struck by Tractor Trailer

An unidentified 45-year-old Framingham woman was hit by an 18-wheel tractor-trailer last night around 9:00pm while attempting to cross the eastbound highway lanes of the Mass Pike in Framingham. The Boston Globe reports that she sustained severe injuries, but was speaking and conscious at the scene of the accident. She was then taken by helicopter to a Boston area hospital for medical treatment. Authorities are continuing to investigate why the unnamed woman was trying to cross the highway.
