Teenage Bicyclist Struck, Killed in Hopkinton

According to The Metrowest Daily News, a 13-year-old Hopkinton boy was riding his bike on Route 85 in Hopkinton last Wednesday when he was struck and killed by a vehicle operated by a 16-year-old girl.

The tragic accident occurred at approximately 4:45 p.m. at the intersection of Route 85 (Hayden Rowe) and Granite Street.  A Good Samaritan reportedly performed CPR on the boy while waiting for authorities to arrive on the scene.  Emergency responders transported the boy to an area hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The Middlesex District Attorney’s Office and both state and local police are continuing their investigation into the deadly accident.

As of now, no charges have been filed against the teenage girl who struck the boy.
