One person was killed and two others suffered injuries in last night's 2-vehicle accident on Route 28 near Windham, NH.
The names of the victims were not disclosed by police. For now, all we know is that the accident fatality was a man - he was pronounced dead at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen. The other two people were a man and his female passenger from the other vehicle (a pickup truck).
According to police, the man who died in the crash was travelling on Route 28 south in a white Honda Accord, when around 8 pm he crossed into the northbound lane and struck a red Ford F-150 pickup truck near the Salem/Windham town line.
Police said the Honda driver was "severely entrapped," and it took a lot of effort to extricate him from the wreck.
The cause of the crash is yet to be determined, though speed has been ruled out as a possible factor.
Both vehicles had New Hampshire license plates.
