2 People in I-495 Crash Will Not Be Charged

This is an update on our recent blog post about the police chase ending in a car crash on I-495 in Haverhill, Massachusetts.

The driver, Jeremy Rosado, 22, of Haverhill is still being held by police, but two other people involved in the car chase will not be charged.

One of them was a passenger in the car, Joseph Rodriguez also of Haverhill, and the other is the woman who lent the rental car to the man Rosado, police said. The woman did not know that Rosado's driver's license had been revoked.

Rosado was captured after fleeing the scene of the accident which occurred on Tuesday. He had crashed the car at the Route 213 off-ramp in Methuen, then ran away and was eventually captured thanks to joint effort by Methuen police, State Police and a State Police helicopter.

Rodriguez also fled from the scene and was not found Tuesday after an extensive search. He was later reached at his home.

Rosado faces charges of driving to endanger, failing to stop for a police officer, driving after revocation of his license and leaving the scene of an accident with property damage.

He was arraigned yesterday in Haverhill District Court and was held on $10,000 cash bail.
