Man Seriously Injured in Route 28 Crash

Two accidents happened on Route 28 yesterday - one near Windham, NH, the other near Bourne, Mass.

One man died and two were injured in the first crash between a car and a pickup truck.

One man was seriously injured in the second accident (involving just one vehicle). The victim, a Massachusetts man, was airlifted to a Boston hospital after the 2:20 pm crash on Route 28 south about 1 mile north of the Route 151 interchange.

Both Falmouth and Bourne fire officials responded to the crash scene. They found the man's Saab sedan crashed over a guardrail and down an embankment.

It not yet clear what caused the accident. Police are investigating the crash.
