Massachusetts Man Critically Injured in I-95 Accident

Edward King, 47, of Everett, MA sustained serious injury in a 2-car accident on Interstate 95 North in Seabrook, NH on Monday. He was listed in a critical condition at a Boston hospital on Tuesday.

According to officials, King was seriously injured when his car, a 1999 Nissan Maxima, struck a box delivery truck that was parked in the breakdown lane near Exit 1 in Seabrook on Monday afternoon (slightly after 3pm). It was not immediately clear why King’s vehicle had veered into the breakdown lane.

King was trapped in his car and had to be cut out of the vehicle. He was rushed to Exeter Hospital in Exeter, NH, and was later airlifted by the Dartmouth Air Rescue Team to Boston Medical Center for treatment.

Police said King was “conscious and alert at the scene."

There were two occupants in the 10-wheel box truck at the time of the accident, but no injuries were reported.

The accident, which occurred between the New Hampshire visitors' center exit and the Exit 1 off-ramp, is still under police investigation. Anyone with information regarding this crash is asked to call Trooper First Class Keith Walker at 603-223-8490.
