Man Seriously Injured in Bourne Crash

An unidentified 22-year-old man sustained serious injuries this past Tuesday morning just after 9:00am when the sedan he was driving collided with a utility pole off of Old Plymouth Road in Bourne near Sagamore Beach. The pole was snapped in half as a result of the serious crash and the man’s car then continued into the woods on the side of the road after crashing into the pole before it came to a rest.

According to Cape Cod Today, the unnamed man was taken to an area hospital for emergency medical treatment. Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the accident and the young man’s condition is currently not known. Power was lost in the area of the accident for some time because of the accident.
